From trim edges: Keep important elements at least 5 mm from trim edges.
From fold lines (spine and flaps): Keep important elements at least 8 mm from fold lines.
3. Spine
Minimum text height 2 mm.
If the spine width is poniżej 5 mm, do not place text on the spine. Small spine text may become unreadable or shifted.
4. Flap dimensions
Flap width depends on whether the dust jacket is prepared for paperback or hardcover binding. Flaps that are too wide may catch on the spine when closing the book.
Minimum flap width: We recommend a flap width no smaller than 1/3 of the trim width of the book block. Flaps that are too narrow do not fold correctly.
Maximum flap width:
Paperback: Trim width minus 10 mm.
Hardcover: Trim width minus 16 mm.
