2. Safety margins
In hardcover bindings, safety margins are especially important because of the cover mounting process. To prevent important elements (text, logos) from being trimmed or covered:
keep at least 5 mm from the outer cover edges,
keep at least 12 mm from the spine edge (this area is known as the hinge).
3. Cover spine
Spine thickness: We produce hardcover bindings with spine widths from 8 mm to 65 mm.
Spine text: The minimum height of letters or characters placed on the spine is 2 mm.
