Image Resolution

We recommend a minimum image resolution of 300 dpi (for original image sizes).

Bleed Area

Adding bleed allowances serves as tolerance for differences in cutting. Fonts and important information such as logos, addresses, texts, etc., that cannot be cut/trimmed need to be placed at least 5 mm from the margin of the final format. Please, refrain from using creative white or coloured margins or outlines.

If the customer sends us the print data in the final format (without bleed), the data will be adjusted automatically. In some cases, the correction of your data is at the discretion of our employees. Please note that in every case, when making these adjustments, we will do so with your interests in mind. This type of change in the layout must be accepted by the customer. The same applies to customers who have supplied data with a white trim allowance.

Paper is a natural material that is subject to specific fluctuations as a result of environmental factors such as temperature and humidity. Therefore, there may be a deviation of up to one millimeter during final bleeding. Please observe that these cutting differences may also affect the folding.

Colour Mode CMYK

We recommend using CMYK colour mode for the printing data. RGB data and all special colours (if 4/4 colour is ordered) will be automatically converted to the CMYK colour scheme. Embedded colour profiles which deviate from the output condition FOGRA39 (ISO coated v2) or FOGRA47 (PSO uncoated ISO12647) will be regarded and counterbalanced during colour scheme conversion. Please note that colour shift can occur during conversion.

Embedding of Fonts

In case of PDF files, all fonts must be converted into paths or completely embedded (no sub-groups, including standard fonts). If this is not the case in a PDF file, line breaks may end up being displaced, special characters omitted or replaced. We recommend additional conversion into paths (or curves) of all fonts. Ensure that blank characters are correctly converted. If this is not the case in a PDF file, line breaks may end up being displaced, special characters omitted or replaced. It is also advisable to create a black text in 100% black since a mixed black consisting of several printing inks creates a poor typeface.

Colour Application / Reproduction

The maximum total ink application CMYK of your image data should not exceed 300%. An excess of the recommended colour application can result in 'peeling' or agglutination. Complaints and rejections cannot be accepted in this regard. (Info: it will be sufficient to use 100% Black segments and 50% Cyan segments to depict a luscious black! This applies particularly to full tones and large mapped fonts.)
Since different paper types absorb colours differently, colour reproduction may differ optically. (e.g. stationery (offset paper) and business cards (art print paper))

Spelling mistakes / typographical errors

We are unable to provide guarantee against spelling mistakes or typographical errors or for the position of fold and perforation lines.

Overprint & Transparency settings

We do not verify print settings as design considerations may override. We are not responsible for a change in the visual form of the requested printed material as a result of such incorrect settings.
Transparencies should be flattened, check that all elements are as intended before sending the file.

CorelDRAW

When exporting PDF files from CorelDRAW, please convert all fonts to curves and reduce all transparencies. If needed, use the standard "PDF/X-la" as a basis.

Additional Information

Formats differing from the ordered format will be automatically scaled to the raw or final format that was ordered. A white edge will be added if data are transmitted in final format (without a bleed allowance). It may even be left up to our clerical staff to decide on enlarging the data transmitted by you, by 1 mm (to prevent the occurrence of white gaps) or shorten your data by 1 mm (to assure that no part of the contents is cut off).

While positioning our combination run plates, we are, unfortunately, not always able to consider the running direction of the paper. It can never be ruled out that folds may slightly break open on occasion.

No attentions paid to comments and form fields or to layers in a PDF file. Theye will be discarded.

TIFF files should not be in multiple pages; only the first page will be printed.

The data check entails font embedding, bleed allowance and unpacking of the file. We will not check whether the individual elements are blurred.

Transparencies in CorelDRAW PDF files must be reduced. It is not possible to process live transparencies in these documents!
